As life and work environments in the 21st century become more complex, Learning and Innovation Skills separate those who are prepared for this new landscape from those who are not. At United Sports we offer a three part series where students will learn the critical components of 21st Century Skills through direct experience in an Experiential learning setting.
Blooms Taxonomy:
Our workshops are designed to reach the Affective, psychomotor, and cognitive domains. The activities challenge the students' ability to progress to the higher level cognitive thinking areas.
21st Century Learning:
Choose an individual program, or a special discounted rate on our three part 21st century learning Package.
Communication and Collaboration:
The first of our three part series. This is a four hour workshop that focuses on the importance of teamwork. Students will be placed into groups with tasks that require them to work together in order to accomplish the goal. Through these activities students see the benefit of working together as they are challenged both physically and mentally.
Critical Thinking and Creativity:
The Second of our three part series. This is a four hour workshop focusing on problem solving. once again students are placed into teams, this time with different scenarios that require them to use their critical thinking skills to solve. This will surely test their ability to think "outside the box."
Leadership:
The final phase of our three part series. This workshop focuses on teaching our students what it takes to be a leader. In order to succeed in these activities students will often have to step outside their comfort zone. These activities focus on the importance of taking risks, and understanding how to grow stronger from mistakes.
