Premier Sports Zone - Inline Hockey Summer Camps
July 9 | August 20
United Sports Inline Hockey camp is designed to improve a player’s ability in the many areas of hockey, specifically skating, shooting, passing, and stick handling. We offer a beginner camp in July and an advanced camp in August. Below is a sample curriculum that will be followed for the camps, the curriculum will be adjusted based on player group ability.
Sample Curriculum:
Monday: Skating and stickhandling. We will be working on skating, power skating, direction change and skating in reverse. Stickhandling will be incorporated into skating drills to create a realistic setting.
Tuesday: Continue with stick handling exercises, including 1 v 1 and odd man rush situations. Passing will also become a focus on day 2.
Wednesday: Lookout goalies, Wednesday is goal scoring day! Camp will be focused on shooting skills and techniques. We will cover wrist shots, slap shots, snap shots, and one timers! All campers will have a blast.
Thursday: Put it all together, review all skills and topics covered during the week, and include skill testing.
Friday: Championship Day! Again all skills will be reviewed and practiced. In addition we will have a 4 v 4 tournament, skills competitions, a breakaway competition and much more.
**** All skills will be highlighted daily with fun skills activities, and scrimmage situations.
**** Players that attend summer camp be automatically identified for the Cobras Travel Inline Hockey Club for the 2012-13 season
