United Sports Expands Its Reach with Flag Football Life and Beast of the East

We’re proud to announce that United Sports has assumed operations of Flag Football Life (FFL) and Beast of the East (Beast), two of the nation’s leading names in youth flag football tournaments.

For years, both FFL and Beast have created incredible opportunities for athletes from across the country to compete, connect, and grow through the game they love. Now, powered by United Sports, these events will continue to thrive and reach new heights.

This expansion marks an exciting chapter for our organization as we bring our signature energy, expertise, and commitment to excellence to even more athletes and families nationwide.

“We couldn’t be more excited to add the Flag Football Life tournaments & leagues to our current offerings, as well as the Beast of the East tournament,” says Rick Knowles, Vice President at United Sports. “We currently operate the region’s premier NFL Flag leagues, and adding a nationally recognized company like FFL, along with an additional signature event like Beast, will only further allow us to make flag football readily available for young people across the country and beyond. And with all the wonderful things happening in the world of girls flag football, we’re especially excited for new opportunities in that space with the We Run the World series. The growth of female flag has been significant, and United Sports is proud to continue & expand upon that growth on a national level.”

Matt Reimel, former owner of the nationally renowned Beast of the East tournament, adds, “It’s truly an honor to see United Sports take over Beast of the East 5v5 National Flag Football Tournament, an event that has been my pride and joy for so many years. I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who has helped build it into what it’s become, and I couldn’t be more excited to see United Sports carry the tradition forward and continue to grow the game in new & exciting ways.”

Mike Reimel, former owner of Flag Football Life, and newest member of the United Sports team, says, “I’m incredibly proud to be backed by a powerhouse like United Sports, and grateful for the opportunity to join this organization as the Director of Flag Football Tournaments & Growth. The future is bright, and I’m excited for what’s to come.”
