Event Details

Event Date: Monday, January 18, 2027
Location: United Sports – Kinetic Dome
Tournament Format:
      • 4 Game Guaranteed
      • Pool play followed by Championship Format
      • All teams must have a goalie – NO EXCEPTIONS
      • Each team will play with seven players; 1 goalkeeper, 2 attack, 2 midfield and 2 defense
      • 20-minute running game clock (2×10 min halves)
      • 7 players on the field per team (6 field players, 1 goalie)
      • All players are required to wear a mouth guard and protective women’s lacrosse goggles. Goal keepers must wear ALL protective equipment: helmet with chin guard, NOCSAE chest protector, protective pants, gloves and mouth guard; shin guards are optional.
      • Running Clock – NO TIMEOUTS
      • 15 player roster max (13 field + 2 goalies)
      • Draws will be taken at the beginning of each half. After a goal, the play will start again with the goalie clearing to her defense. Goalies will restart play from their crease after a goal is scored.
Playoffs/Championships:
      • 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss. Top two teams (or four teams if time allows) from each division will play in the final. Final seedings are based on:

        • #2. Head to Head Result
        • #3. Goals Against
        • #4. Goal Differential
      • Based on the pool play results to determine tie breakers, the following criteria will be used:
        • Points
        • Head to Head

        • Goal Differential
        • Coin Flip
Divisions:
      • HS A (2027 and 2028)
      • HS B (2029 and 2030)
      • MS A (2031 and 2032)
      • MS B (2033 and 2034)
Level of Play (Selected by Coach / Admin during Registration)
      • AA – Elite competition featuring top state and national-level teams
      • A – Strong, experienced teams competing at a high regional or varsity level
      • B – Developing teams, including recreational programs and local clubs
Refund Policy:
      • All fees are non-refundable.

Registration Information

1. Deposit Required at Registration
      • A non-refundable team deposit is required at the time of registration to secure your spot in the event.
2. Balance Payments
      • Teams wishing to pay by check to avoid credit card processing fees must ensure payment is received prior to the balance deadline.
      • Any balances not received by the deadline must be paid via credit card. Failure to complete payment may result in removal from the event and replacement by wait-listed teams.

3. Roster Verification
      • Team directors are responsible for confirming rosters and ensuring all player registrations and waivers are completed prior to the event. Coaches much validate their roster submissions at day of event check in. Upon confirmation they accept that all players and staff members accept and will follow the event rules & regulations set prior to play.
      • Eligibility: All participating athletes must register individually to complete the required waivers and be added to their team’s official event roster in order to be eligible to compete. Athletes may only participate on one team per division during the event / must be rostered prior to event start. Athletes must be grade-eligible for the division in which they compete. Playing down in age or grade is strictly prohibited. Any violation of this policy may result in disqualification and/or expulsion of the individual athlete and/or team from the event.
      • All players must be USL members. Their membership numbers will be captured during the registration process.
4. Coach Registration
      • To improve event communication and streamline team check-in, all coaches should be added to their respective teams within your LeagueApps account prior to the event.

Arctic Cup Girls Tournament Details

  • Small sided 7v7 format; 6 Field players and 1 goalie;
  • All teams guaranteed at least 4 x 20 minute games
  • Running clock with a central horn; no timeouts
  • Championship Format
  • All teams MUST have a GOALIE to participate
  • **Note: Schedule requests are not guaranteed. Tournament reserves the right to schedule any games at any time that it deems necessary.
ROSTER RULES

• MAX of 18 players/team; MIN of 10 players/team
• Rosters and waivers will be submitted electronically
• All players must be USL members. Their membership numbers will be captured during the registration process.
• High School graduates are not permitted to play in this event
• Teams will need to choose the Age Group/Division that represents the oldest player on your team. Teams must play up to this oldest player, they can NOT play down. When scheduling, we will group first by age, then level of competition to help ensure the most fair and competitive match-ups.
