SWEET PEAS GYMNASTICS CLASSES

Sweet Peas is an educational gymnastics program designed to promote physical, social, and cognitive development in children six months to six years old. Sweet Peas Gymnastics provides movement- and sensory-based activities that are fun and developmentally loaded! This is our passion.

The Sweet Peas Educational Gymnastics curriculum helps forge the the architecture of a child’s brain that will serve him or her for a lifetime.

Class Length: 50-minute Weekly Classes
9 Week Season: March 9 – May 17
Ages: 6 months – 10 years old

Wee Peas (6-12 mo.)

  • 30 Minute FREE Classes
    • Tues. – 9am
    • Sat. – 9am
    • Sun. – 9:30am
  • Skills:
    • Sit, crawl, move, reach, and grasp in a baby-safe environment that is rich with color, sound, and tactile experiences
    • Wee Peas learn to recognize their name in class and react to identifying themselves to the teacher.

One Peas (Age 1 yr.)

  • 30 Minute Classes:
    • Tues. – 9am
    • Wed. – 4:30pm
    • Sat. – 9am
    • Sun. – 9:30am
  • Skills:
    • Stepping, rolling, balance, sliding, swinging, clapping, counting, stop and start, and repeat
    • Learn rhythm and sequencing through physical activities coordinated with music and prompts

Two Peas (Age 2 yrs.)

  • 50 Minute Classes:
    • Mon. – 9am
    • Wed. – 10am
    • Sat. – 9:30am
    • Sun. – 10am
  • Skills:
    • Step, hold, and balance on alternate feet; roll forward, sideways, and backwards on a wedge with a spot; transfer weight from feet to hands and back.
    • Recognize colors, begin to recite numbers through counting, and increase language development

Three Peas (Age 3 yrs.)

  • 50 Minute Classes:
    • Mon. – 9am, 5pm
    • Tues. – 5pm
    • Wed. – 10am
    • Thurs. – 9:30am
    • Sat. – 9:30am
    • Sun. – 10am
  • Skills:
    • Forward rolls, straddle rolls, and cartwheels
    • Alternating forward kicks, squat holds, and beam crawls
    • Learning to draw to a tuck from a straight hang on the bars and execute forward rolls over the bar

Four Peas (Age 4 yrs.)

  • 50 Minute Classes:
    • Mon. – 5pm
    • Tues. – 5pm
    • Wed. – 11am, 5pm
    • Thurs. – 9:30am, 5pm
    • Sat. – 10:30am
    • Sun. – 11am
  • Skills:
    • Forward rolls, straddle rolls, and backward rolls on both an incline mat and on the floor
    • Straighter legs and longer holds in the execution of their skills
    • Mastering their squat, donkey kicks with horizontal hips, and jumping on and off a block

Five Peas (Age 5 yrs.)

  • 50 Minute Classes:
    • Mon. – 6pm
    • Tues. – 6pm
    • Wed. – 5pm
    • Thurs. – 5:30pm, 6:30pm
    • Sat. – 10:30am
    • Sun. – 11am
  • Skills:
    • Bridges, handstands, and stronger executions of rolls
    • Hold their releves and arabesques on beam and are develop the core strength needed to hold tucks, straddles, and pikes on the bars
    • Sequenced runs on the vault runway including stretch jumps, squats onto the block, and forward rolls

Six Peas (Age 6 yrs.)

  • 50 Minute Classes:
    • Mon. – 6pm
    • Tues. – 6pm
    • Thurs. – 6:30pm
    • Sat. – 11:30am
    • Sun. – 12pm
  • Skills:
    • Cartwheels, handstands, and straight-legged tables – all with increasing form and technique
    • Floor sequences that combine rolls, jumps, lunges, turns, and finishes
    • Learning challenge of properly counting and executing skills to music beats and claps
    • Work on window pikes and straddles, casts from front supports, forward rolls to flexed arm hangs, pullovers and back hip circles

Rec. Gymnastics (Age 7+ yrs.)

  • 50 Minute Classes:
    • Tues. – 7pm
    • Wed. – 6pm
    • Sat. – 11:30am
    • Sun. – 12pm
  • Skills:
    • Work on practicing bars, beams, trampoline, and vault techniques
    • This is a recreational program designed to be a fun, low-pressure way to build some gymnastics skills!

Registration Dates:

  • Spring Season Start: March 9
    • *No classes March 30 – April 5
  • Rolling Registration: Enroll anytime up until 2 weeks left of the season

Registration Costs:

  • Regular Registration: $171 per child
    • Costs will be prorated if a session is fewer classes.
  • Classes may be subject to cancellation if there is insufficient enrollment.
  • An administration fee is required for program registration. This admin fee is good for one year, once paid, covers all admin costs for all programs for the year. The admin fee must be paid prior to registration, or you will receive an error.
  • MAKE-UP CLASSES
    • You are allowed to make up any missed classes within the session in which you are enrolled, subject to space availability. We typically offer many other class times, so usually this is not a problem; however we cannot guarantee that space will be available. And note that you cannot carryover make-up classes into later sessions. To coordinate a make up class you must contact Coach Brendan at boneill@unitedsports.net or 610-466-7100 ext. 137.
  • FREE TRIAL CLASSES
    • We do offer one free trial class to new customers to see if their children enjoy the Lil’ Kickers experience. The free trial policy is usually limited to one free class per child. Click here to schedule a Free Trial, or contact Emma Ohar (eohar@unitedsports.net).
    • Customers may only do trials in classes that have space available.
